TEX PERKINS : BLACK CATTLE DOG
Topping the list of quality musical acts set to perform at the event, TEX PERKINS is one of Australia’s most iconic personalities.
You may know of his work as frontman with ARIA award winning groove and roots specialists The Cruel Sea, and earlier in his career, Tex was the driving force in garage / blues band The Beasts Of Bourbon.
Other collaborations have included the super group of Tex, Don & Charlie (including Don Walker of Cold Chisel fame, and hugely respected guitarist Charlie Owen) as well as a recent record featuring You Am I’s Tim Rogers and Tex as ‘TnT’.
Tex’s performance at the Waterfront Food and Wine Festival also coincides with the release of his own ‘Best Of’ set.
Titled “Songs From My Black Cattle Dog’ Tex describes the retrospective as a record of a world weary journeyman spinning a few yarns, spilling some beans, spreading a few rumours and shedding one or two tears whilst stumbling through some of most joyous musical collaborations of his life with some of the world’s greatest musicians.
Don’t miss Tex Perkins in his only Gold Coast appearance at the Waterfront Food and Wine Festival.
